Formal and informal education and vocational advanced training play a key role in the development of European crafts and SMEs. Small entreprises depend on well-qualified employees that are either formally or informally trained (without formal certificate) to survive in an increasingly competitive environment. UEAPME has a keen interest in reducing bureaucracy concerning educational and vocational training issues and increasing the mobility of apprentices in Europe.
