Company Law

The aim of the European Community by designing a framework for company law is to harmonise the conditions and national approaches for the establishment of companies in the EU. UEAPME is of the opinion that Company law does not concern SMEs as this legislation covers stock corporations and not SMEs. Furthermore, UEAPME opposes the creation of legislation for European private companies as national systems regulating these types of companies are too different and SMEs do not need to have a harmonisation of their statutes.
