UEAPME attended an informal meeting with EU Education Ministers on 23 May, together with the other European Social Partners. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for Secretary General Hans-Werner Müller to highlight priorities in the area.

UEAPME stressed the importance of vocational education and reiterated the call for vocational training to be given an equal standing with general education. The delegation also called for the proposed Erasmus for apprentices scheme to be implemented without delay.
