President Paul Reckinger and Secretary General Hans-Werner Müller met with Commission President Barroso today. The informal meeting was the second meeting between the new president of the Commission and the European Social Partners, including UEAPME.

At the meeting the UEAPME delegation joined with the other Social Partners in underlining their support for the Commission proposal to refocus the Lisbon Strategy on jobs and growth, as part of the mid-term review of the strategy at the European Council.
