The main aim of the Environment Committee, which groups the experts of UEAPME’s member organisations, is to monitor the activities developed by the EU in the environmental sector (particularly, the activities carried out by Directorates General Environment and Energy) The goal is to reduce its negative impacts on SMEs, and seize the opportunities that environment protection might generate for them. The area of intervention of the "Environment" Committee ranges from waste management, to EMAS, Ecolabel, environmental liability, eco-taxes and Integrated Product Policy. The Environment Committee is also a venue for the exchange of precious information on the environmental legislation and its impact on SMEs in the Member States.
