Welcome to the UEAPME Website for the Business Support programme.

Methodology

In order to achieve the goals set in the project, the programme works as follows:

1. "Train the trainers"
This activity aims at providing training on relevant chapters of the Community acquis to a number of experts from the CEEC, who would then train additional business advisers in their home country (snowball effect). The training is provided through dedicated seminars organised by EU-15 project partners. The aim is to create an extensive network of trainers and advisers who can provide focused information to SMEs.

2. Information campaign
The information campaign provides enlargement-related sector- and / or branch-specific information directly to businesses through the development of brochures (flyers) each covering another sector. The CEEC partners adjust these flyers to the specific situation in their country before publishing them.

3. Information sharing
Twinning partners to provide experts on specific topics and / or branches with a view to sharing their information and experience with the CEEC partners;

4. Institution building
Based on the achievements of BSP I, continued efforts to strengthen the CEEC partner organisations with a special focus on the dissemination of information and experience to sector and / or branch organisations;

5. Lobbying and business services
Experts from twinning partners to help their CEEC counterparts in individual lobbing campaigns and the implementation of business-geared service structures.

6. Seminar for second level management
Seminar in favour of the second-level management of the CEEC partners covering project management with a focus on European projects. This seminar is planned for the second half of the project.
