The Chamber of Skilled Crafts (Handwerkskammer) Koblenz is an independent body through which the crafts and trades sector administers itself. With ist staff of 250 the chamber acts as a service center for the 17.000 small and medium-sized crafts and trade enterprises in the northern part of Rhineland-Palatinate. HwK offers extensiv advisory services and continuing education. The chamber maintains the official register of crafts and trade enterprises and the register of apprentices and organizes examinations for the vocational training.
