The Hwk is a non-governmental organisation which represents about 6.000 SMEs in the region of Trier. Over 47.500 employes work here as skilled workers an 5.000 apprentices are trained. The chamber represent and promote the interest of "Handwerk" at all levels, their slogan being efficient communication, rapid decision-making, economical management and practical orientation.
