This position paper reflects the opinion of UEAPME experts on the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing on the market and use of biocidal products (COM (2009) 267 final) published in June 2009 and revising Directive 98/8/EC of 16 February 1998.UEAPME’s main points of concern refer to the provisions of the current Proposal on data sharing and on the excessive long period of data protection counting from first authorisation.
